Wedding Wednesday...

Every morning... I grab a cup of coffee... and I am greeted with a photo of my hubby and I cutting the cake at our wedding... hmmm... maybe I should do a wedding post...

Over the years I have created many custom wedding invitations including whimsical paintings and custom design papers for lining the envelopes ... Here are a few... Starting with an invitation to a Bridal Luncheon... An Engagement Party...
A Wedding Invitation all HAND PAINTED except for the sheet of paper shown in background...
A Save the Date... travel itinerary... held together with a grommet...A Possible Wedding Gift... I adore the colour orange... when I saw this wedding with orange flowers in a lovely setting... I was inspired to paint this for the Bride...

Original photo below from Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion magazine... You can read and see more photos of this delightful wedding online... just click on Home Companion. While popping around wedding sites this morning... I found this floral arrangement and these solar power lanterns at Fiore Fresco... The colours reminded me of the "orange wedding" above... and the coming of Fall...and perfect for a quick little painting...The summer is ending and the holidays are coming... great time to get engaged... When and where did you get engaged? Are you hoping to get engaged? If so, when, where and how would you like to be proposed to?

A wedding post! How fun! Loved seeing your wedding photo.

I've been married so long I can barely remember how Dave proposed to me, way back when. (Ha.) Actually, it was on the beach in Siesta Key while we were watching the sunset. Doesn't get much more romantic than that. -Julia :-)

Morning Fifi, I love the orange flowers as well...orange is my go to color right now. I adore all the wedding stuff you've done. I only wish I had some use for it! We will be married 16 years in February and my DH proposed to me at the food court of Crossroads Mall in Boulder, Colorado! The funniest part of the story is that he's the most romantic guy alive...but we were eating lunch and he just blurted it out...I want to marry you. It was romantic in its spontaneity!

You know with your talent & energy you have the makings of being another Susan Branch or Mary Engelbreit, only more unique as Fifi Flowers.

You guys are a hnadsome couple! The invitations you created are gorgeous! He proposed on Christmas Eve and we called my parents back in France to tell them the news. My mom had to sit on her own father's knees she was so overwhelmed. The box was under the tree and I found it by mistake putting his present down there too. He looked all weird and pale, got on one knee and asked.

You and your hubby are such a beautiful couple! And I'm very much impressed with your wedding creations.

I'm such a sucker for anything weddings even though we've been married 9 years. I was proposed to on Christmas morning. My boyfriend had purchased a special Lenox ornament (with a latch that opened) in the shape of a heart. It was hung on the tree the night before Christmas with the ring inside. That was a Christmas I'll never forget and I love it that he totally surprised me.
