Tea Book Flowers

Love this still life art challenge… an opportunity to combine my art world and book world... I paint... I write... I love both!

I’m not sure about the paper I used… it really grabbed the watercolor and was difficult to spread… but I like the results after all… here’s the process…

National Sons Day

In honor of National Sons Day… I’m sharing books I co-wrote with my adult son: He came up with stories and information and I handled the romance parts… we worked well together and published two…

He also assisted me with two other books but originally they were part of the old Kindle World and they didn’t allow co-writing so his name was not added to the covers but he definitely gave me input with my male characters…

Maybe in the future he will write with me again or at least help me with my future Alpha Detail series books… I have tried to get my younger adult son to give me input but so far he hasn’t been interested but maybe once he’s discharge from the military he will help me out… fingers-crossed! I would love to see his name along with mine on a book too… SAM HAROLD sounds great!

Happy National Sons Day to my boys… I LOVE you both sooooo much!!!

Latte Macaron Café

Perfect art challenge for my sketchbook… a latte needed pastry… macarons… so I scribbled them on the page next door… happy cafe table…

Rue Fleur Rosé

I pulled out my sketchbook last night when hubby played a couple movies… I had seen the first one so I began to sketch from an inspiration photo that had a table and chairs (I opted to only do one) with pots and  a standalone street post… the back was a wall with a street sign… I turned it into a Paris café setting idea…

I didn’t film but I took some step by step process photos (I was texting to my mom who likes to see my process—she prefers films/reels with music)… the lighting isn’t great but here they are…

Here is the photo that inspired me… it was actually an ad from a shop on Instagram… inspiration comes from various places and my imagination runs wild… and my paintings often spur me on to write about the scenes I create… 

Now… it’s time to write! Wish I was sitting at an outside Parisian café table… maybe someday!

Yellow Sofa Lounge

FUN painting interior design rooms while I’m writing a romcom (Wronged & Foolish) about a DESIGNTV reality competition where contestants/designers  want to win the chance to have their own design TV show… of course, I must describe rooms and I think I’m going to sketch and paint some of them for readers to see what I make up in my head…

Polka Dots Stripes Tea Cup

Such a rebel… this tea cup is supposed to feature a bird… but I just wanted to paint flowers… so I did… giggling to myself…

As promised… I filmed my paint process… I might do this for all of my paintings… lol… or not… it’s all about managing my time now that I am back to writing… finishing books in the works… while STILL PAINTING daily… I will do my best to film since everyone tells me how much they love to see my paintings come to life…

I do like the bird on the cup… I think it’s charming but I just have to be me and interpret photos as I see them for my creations… gotta be me!

Bright Orange Office

This painting reminds me of my old interior design days… prepping room examples for clients… however these are not my designs… this is another art challenge and the group focuses on room designs… I was inspired to paint this because of the bright cheeriness…

Andddddd I decided to film this process too… it’s been a filming kind of day…

Daisies Shutter Villa Tablescape

Ohhhh… how I would LOVE to be staying in a European villa… eating and drinking al fresco… unfortunately, I will have to be happy painting my dream…

I painted this in my journal that is square and the challenge was more rectangular… so I added my own little touch to fill the page after filming… and I quite like it… a pop of blue; outdoor curtain panel…
