Stuck in VIRTUAL Paris...
I don't think I ever want to leave... today we sing and dance...
Have you seen the old and new version of Moulin Rouge? If so, which did you like better? Did you like both? Did you NOT like either?
I loved the old version with Jose Ferrer... seeing the characters of Toulouse Lautrec's paintings!! I loved the new version with Ewan McGregor... he is ADORABLE and I thought the music and dance was FUN and silly!!!
Andddddd... The Moulin Rouge movies inspired moi to paint...

BOnjour! Love your black & white can can girl. I think I prefer the original old version of Moulin Rouge though the new one was very clever and had some good songs. Another fabulous post to start my day on a bright note.

Fifi,
These are all wonderful. I was just spending some time browsing your posts and your artwork. The amount of creations you have here is amazing. How many paintings do you produce a week? Do you paint every day? I am blown away with the amount of paintings and lovely posts written about how you created them. You should create a book.
Have a wonderful day. Thank you for the inspiration.
Karen

I Love Nicole Kidman's Moulin Rouge!!!! One my all time favorite movies...the scene where she sings to Christian as he is leaving the theater is heartwrenching...now you made me want to see it again..I am off the to my TV and DVD player ;-)
Love, love these and thanks for sharing!

I had never seen the early version but the latest one is eye candy.
I too love black and white photos but color like yours makes my heart sing!
Thanks for stopping by!
Carole
Ooh, your paintings are just lovely!
Oooooh, la, la,
This is my lucky day. Your blog, your work -- out of this world. Thank you for finding me so I could find you. Obviously I've signed up.
I'll be back. I would love to feature your work on my blog one day. If you do that(?)
Ummm, in my experience it's practically impossible to change men. Even if we want them to carry a glass or a plate from one room to the kitchen it takes longer than house training a dog.
Maybe I've only met recalcitrant types.
Bonne chance quand même.
Warm regards,
Tish
Hi FiFi,
Your paintings are wonderful...I am a fan of Nicole Kidman so I have to go with the new version...but the absolulte best was to go to the Moulin Rouge in Paris....fabulous! Thanks for stopping by and your kind words.
Take care, Laura
Bonjour Fifi,
I LOVE both versions of Moulin Rouge, but I think the soundtrack on the Ewan McGregor (love him) version is wonderful. 'Someday I'll Fly Away' gives me goose bumps. Love your Can Can paintings...XXXX
Sorry but I have never seen any of them. hmmm. Love your paintings tho. Especially the first one at the top.
I love the old one but the new one makes me want to dance more.
I have not seen either movie, I really need to. Those paintings are amazing, as is everything you do.
I enjoyed the Nicole Kidman version. Paris is a great to be stuck in - even virtually!
I love "the movie that has the whole world talking and blushing" followed up by Lil' Kim! Can you imagine what 1952 would make of the Moulin Rouge fab four? Your paintings are gorgeous and capture the flamboyance and decadence perfectly.
