Desperately Seeking Petunia in Paris...

Fifi headed out to wander the City of Lights...
Stopped by the Tulieries... waited here...

even had time to paint this... inspiration via Mary Laure... and then off I went...

Searching all the arrondissements of Paris... even heading out to the 20th... stopping by Beth Arnold's new place... I thought maybe Petunia read about it and popped in with a bottle of champagne to christen the apartment...

and still NO Petunia... I know she has disappeared before... BUT... she has NEVER left behind her gift boxes via A Gift Wrapped Life...

Should anyone see Petunia let her know I am searching for her...

Ooooh and be sure to visit other OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY participants via Susan @ A Southern Daydreamer... I wonder if I will find her via one of these site... hmmmm!

I'm hoping for a celebration party tomorrow... looks like the authorities know it was NOT moi that stole the art in Pebble Beach... that calls for a FABULOUS table... delightful treats and ALL of YOU... crossing fingers Petunia will be there too... or at least I receive news... le sigh... worrying is sooooo stressful... Veuve Clicquot if you can hear moi...

"Veuve Clicquot... take me away... and send Calgon too!"

Dearest Fifi:

I am so sorry I got lost although, of course, to me I was never lost. I was always right where I was! Funny thing how being lost works that way. My troubles all started when you and I entered that damn busy Paris airport! We must have gotten separated while I was reviewing a text from Francois telling me that in my rush to pack I had left behind my favorite crown! The shock of that information and the crush of people with all the flashing cameras aimed at me left me momentarily stunned and unsure of what to do next! Both feelings are quiet alien to me and all I could think of was to find a little place to have a sip of something that would clear my head and calm my nerves! I was so sure you were right behind me but when I reached to take hold of what should have been your hand, I knew right away I was in trouble. It was not your lovely hand I was grabbing but that of a somewhat hairy monster of a man! I do wonder why men don't shave their hands.

Oh Fifi, wearing a crown can be such a heavy burden at times and so many needing to see me can be exhausting but I take both very seriously as I do believe it was my destiny from birth. Francois insisted that he personally deliver my crown as he knew I would be at sixes and sevens without it and then one thing lead to another with all the proper thanking I had to do and suddenly an entire day passed by! It was such a lovely day but then when I woke this morning to many messages of concern and worry and found out I was lost again, all I could do was lay back down on the bed, adjust my crown and wonder at how all of this ended up with a classified ad with my name on it. I have always wondered if at some unfortunate turn my face might end up on a Post Office wall somewhere...just think of how many more would get to see me while they waited 3 hours to buy a stamp!....but never did I think I would end up in the classified ads! Oh, Fifi! What a brilliant thing to have done! I just adore you and your creative mind.

One of the many messages I received this morning was from my lovely Wolfgang Puck who reported that your name has been cleared! It would seem a source close to him whispered a few juicy bits of gossip in his ear that turned out to all be true and the real criminals are close to being nabbed! He has reserved his best table at Spago's for us and of course we will be his guests. He mentioned something about wanting a Fifi Flowers original to adorn the wall of his restaurant!

Now that I have been found, you know I won't be anywhere else in the world but at your party tomorrow! We must have a few sips of something lovely to celebrate my finding, your brilliance and your return to being able to move freely about the globe!

Sincerely,
Petunia who thinks that between her dress being stolen and forcibly retrieved, her crown being left behind, losing her lovely gift box and one hairy hand, she may be in need of a vacation to to recover from this vacation.

I will drink champagne anytime, anywhere with you! Oh Fifi, we have so much to toast to and being BFFs certainly tops that list! I am sorry you were so lost without me yesterday. Others have said the same thing has happened to them but never fear! I will not be lost again...well, I certainly hope I am not lost again but then the lost thing can sort of sneak up on a girl without warning!

Sincerely,
Petunia who will try very hard to keep herself found.

Bonjour Fifi,
I rushed over to tell you I had seen Petunia at la fromagerie Cantin. The beautiful lady was wearing a crown, I thought for certain it was Petunia! It sounds like it could not have been her though... does Petunia have a double? In any case, so happy to hear all has been resolved and your missing person found. Can't wait for tomorrow. Happy day, now back to shop for fromage and baguette.

Bonjour Fifi,

I was wondering if she went to the Moulin Rouge, I know they are celebrating the 120th Anniversary.
But I see you have found her.
