Outdoors and on the Run...

Recently I painted this adorable Carmel Cottage bookmark (available HERE) however... I know nothing about the stolen paintings in nearby Pebble Beach ... but even my hubby is suspicious... sooooo thanks to my lovely friend Petunia... a car arrived late last night... that drove moi immediately to a private jet with Petunia aboard waiting for me... she is the BEST and so is her fabulously rich friend Maurice who owns the plane... and I believe a villa on the French Riviera ...said to be well stocked with Veuve Clicquot!!!with beautiful views of the coast ...Relaxing spot for reading...Ooooh my gawd... news travels fast...I need this jacuzzi to forget the rest of the world... and the scandal...Ooooh merci beaucoup Petunia for taking me VIRTUALLY to safety and France!!! Sketches to Paintings...

Last week I showed you HANDPAINTED bookmarks by moi... however... I never showed you the back of the bookmarks... soooooooooo... here are the sketches... I like to take a portion of the bookmark painting and enlarge it...

and then paint it and seal it with varnish... it's like getting TWO ORIGINAL Fifi Flowers paintings for the price of ONE... some bookmarks are STILL AVAILABLE... CLICK HERE to see which ones... and try to figure out which of these belongs to each full painting!!!
This weekend I worked on this sketch...and painted ("Girls at a Cafe" 6.75" x 7.25" is available HERE) it to be used as an advertisement for a company I do marketing and graphic design...and last but not least... Fifi sketches her FABULOUS friend Petunia...and then painted her... I do soooo hope Petunia loves her portrait!

Football Season... Fashionable time...

Tonight (Friday) I will be heading off to another high school football game... but I will NOT be as fashionably dressed as these other football fans... however the boys on the field will be dressed nicer than these players... and thank goodness they will be wearing more protection...
Look at the lady to the left decked out to watch football... and men in TIES...
Hmmm... this is a lovely ensemble for throwing around a pigskin...
Even these post game fashions are FAB...

Sooooo... do you look like Renee at football games or are you like moi... jeans and a t-shirt... perfect for tailgate parties and sitting in stands...

Late to the Party by the Water

Sorry soooo late the Tablescape Party... It is such a hot day here... I thought I would pack up some food and head to the water... cool breezes... soooooo I could not make up my mind... I've been busy shopping for Macarons to Nibble by the Sea (6" x 6.5" painting available)...not sure macarons were enough... I stopped by to see Ina for her advice about a picnic...she suggested I fill my basket with grapes, berries, cheese, sausage...
and of course some easy to go Barefoot Contessa items she had on hand...Oooh la la... PERFECT for a Lounging Day by the Water (6.5" x 6.75" painting available)... inspiration for this painting via Aiken House & Gardens...
