Blue Monday on Tuesday...

Today I take you to Downtown Los Angeles to visit a GORGEOUS turquoise BLUE Art Deco Building...The Eastern Columbia Building was designed by Claud Beelman and opened on September 12, 1930, after just nine short months of construction. It was built as the new headquarters of the Eastern Outfitting Company and the Columbia Outfitting Company, furniture and clothing stores. With the construction of this lavish structure, the companies could also boast one of the largest buildings constructed in downtown until after World War II. (info via Wikipedia)

The was METAMORPHOSISED when Developer Kor Group turned the property into condominiums that opened in fall 2006... now you can own one of these FAB lofts...

Here you see four different design transformations...
Ooooh I hope he plays lovely music for neighbors to hear...
Nice lighting... let all that California sunshine in...
Loving this space...
Look at the architecture on this building... it is AMAZING... I have seen it in person on several ocassions and I'm ALWAYS overwhelmed!Shall we head out to the roof top pool... they say Johnny Depp owns the top floor penthouse... maybe we can see him walking around from our lounge chairs...If we stay out by the pool long enough... sipping cocktails... we can watch the building light up... Sooooo beautiful... dreamy... le BIG sigh!!!

I hope you ENJOYED this BLUE Metamorphosis visit to Downtown! You can see more Metamorphosis Monday posts over at Susan's and Blue Monday posts over at Smiling Sal's !!!
