Countryside Garden Party...

Time for a drive out to the country... find a French Chateau... I've got wine, cheese, grapes, sausage, baguette... wine... oh... I already said that...Let's go smell the flowers of Kay Ellen's garden... and Cris's garden...
I've got dessert from Tartelette for you... she makes divine yummies...
I see someone is already enjoying the dessert... is that you Petunia... (Diana snapped the photo)... I think I recognize the pink gloves and the jewels... didn't they belong to... oooooh... maybe I shouldn't say... nevermind...
I do sooooo hope everyone has a lovely time... I hate to do this... but I really must run... I have another luncheon date with this handsome little boy who is turning 11 today...

Stay as long as you like... I am leaving Kathleen in charge... I know she is having her own party but after that wonderful interview she put together with moi (thank you again for all your kind words)... and the lovely tables and hostessing she does... I know she can handle everything and I know she can keep Petunia in line...

See you tomorrow for a Fashionable Friday... come play along... I will have my post and Mr. Linky online by 7:00 pm PDT for you to link your post. If you would like more information about Fashionable Friday click on the button in my sidebar.

ENJOY your day and go visit other FAB Thursday Tablescapes HERE.

Dearest Fifi:

Oh, where to start? Well, of course the party was very nice and yes, you caught me getting into the dessert but, what is it that you are suggesting? That I borrowed Violet's ring? I don't believe I have ever seen her wear anything but costume. Have you, Fifi? I do believe they were a gift my lovely Sergio after a wonderful evening of...oh, you know I never kiss and tell! But I can assure you he was most appreciative.

Kathleen filled in nicely for you but it is just not the same in your absence. I am a bit hurt that you thought I needed some kind of tending to. I do believe my behavior at your parties has, historically, not been remotely arrest worthy and I do not ever remember being told I was seen on TMZ. That being said, I believe Kathleen will tell you I was a perfect....princess at your party! Anything short of that statement is a total and complete fabrication! Please get back to me if you hear differently. My guest list could afford to be shortened just a bit.

Sincerely,
Petunia most certainly did not drink more than her share of the wine. Renae on the other hand...well, I'm just sayin'.

I am shocked that one might pay to keep me off TV! Imagine all those people who couldn't see me having just a bit of fun! I must have my people contact Harvey. Or maybe I should have him round for a glass or two of something. Maybe they run old news when necessary?

Sincerely,
Petunia who has never been invloved in a TV worthy scandle ever and is sorry she might have missed the oppurtunity!

Oh my! I am almost speechless. Please disregard that last missive. I think it was sent by an impostor! Maybe I should call the police and file an identity theft report! Do you think I should, Fifi?

Sincerely,
Petunia who could absolutely be anyone Anderson might like to know.

This so made me smile, Fifi! I can't wait to have a spring picnic. I think this has inspired me to throw a mini picnic in our own garden, too...so sweet;)

Fifi, dear...I am most flattered that you felt I could act as hostess in your absence for one of your FABulous parties! I do so appreciate your confidence in me, but then of course I do deserve it!

Everyone had a fabulous time, as usual...and aside from Petunia's insatiable thirst, there weren't any problems. She was a "princess" alright...but I really didn't mind her snapping out orders to me...I pretended not to hear...eventually she was distracted by the man at the pool! I wouldn't be surprised if you spot another large ring on her finger next week!

You, my dear, have once again captured the beauty of the moment in your paintings today...especailly the last one...THANK YOU! You are so talented and so kind!

Enjoy your outing with that handsome young birthday man!

Tah, tah!

Thanks so much for the invite to your garden party. I'm afraid I'm going to have to lay down for a while as the wine as gone to my head.

Happy Birthday to the Birthday guy! My son's B-day was March 3rd.

Love your floral renderings, Fifi!

And thanks so much for your advice re: being a redhead. One question: how difficult/expensive was it to go from red back to blond?

Fifi, What a fabulous Countryside Garden Party! Your art is so enjoyable, and speaking of which...I rec'd my packet of cards today! I love each and everyone of them! How fun...and I'm not sure I can part with a one! ;) You have a great time with that handsome 11 year old today! I'm sure Kathleen will do a great job of taking care of things while you are out enjoying your little man! ;) ~CC Catherine (Thanks again for the cards...I'll post about them soon) PS: I also LOVED the interview my precious Kathleen did on you., I called her last week to tell her it was FABULOUS! ;)

Fifi, yet another wonderful party! You can never have too much wine. And thank you for noticing that Petunia did in fact steal my jewelry. I think she is getting a little too comfortable at my place, yes, she has actually been to my place, and you know, a gorgeous place it is.

I am off to retrieve my jewels from Petunia, who is obviously not behaving like a princess!

Jacklyn said...

Oh, and I forgot...Have a Fan-tabulous lunch with your son...aww the love between mother and son, AMAZING!

Renae said...

Miss Fifiness...a lovely day as usual, I do not know where you find the time. :>) And your adorable young man...I know he had a fabulous time with you!

Ahheeemmm Pe-tu-ni-a (in a very lyrical voice) I do think you have been sipping the grapes more than I my Darling because Sergio is MINE! I saw him FIRST when he flew me in to the beach for the last party and it was HE that was quite attentive to ME at the water's edge. Am I to believe that he is....a....two-timing man? Heaven's NO! TMZ- well there you have it...proof that the sipping of the grapes went a bit too far!

Dear Renae,

Oh goodness! I owe you an apology! Sergio and I have not been...close...for a while now and I have always known him to be very trustworthy so you need not fear he might be straying.

I had no idea you had such a lovely voice! I'm sure Sergio must love when you sing out his name! My name sounds quite beautiful when you sing it in your way. It made me smile. Thank you for that, Renae. I have had very little to smile about this day.

I try to do my best in all instances and it would seem that some have misconstruded my intents. I have never barked once since that nasty psychiatrist convinced my parents to buy me my little puppy after three years of me having to pretend to be one. You can only imagine how exhausting it was to keep up that charade for so very long. They did finally realize I would not be denied and the story ended happily...for me anyway! They, unfortunately, got to know that psychiatrist quite well!

Sincerely,
Petunia

What intoxicating pink! Love it. The paintings are simply adorable, as is that little guy -- although now that he's all of 11 I'm not sure he wants to be thought of as "adorable!"
thanks for sharing! Cass
