Sweet delights...

On Sunday night I attended What A Pair at the GORGEOUS Orpheum Theatre in the Fashion District of downtown Los Angeles. The female celebrity pairings were great...

Marianne Jean Baptiste (Without a Trace) & Sharon Lawrence (NYPD)
Emily Bergl (Men in Trees) & Emy Coligado (Miss Saigon)
Nikki Crawford (Theatre) & Loretta Devine (Singer/Grey's Anatomy)
Madelyn Deutsch (Jazz singer/Lea Thompson's daughter) & Tierney Sutton (Jazz Singer)
Joely Fisher (Til Death)& Vicki Lewis (News Radio)
Tricia Leigh Fisher (7th Heaven) & Zoe McLellan (Dirty Sexy Money)
Kate Flannery (Office) & Jane Lynch (Talladega Nights -my kids choice)
Deborah Gibson (Pop recording star) & LoRetta Devine (Singer/Grey's Anatomy)
Diana Harris (Recording star) & Marg Helgenberger (CSI/China Beach - my favorite)
Lili Haydn (Alternative Recording Star) & Miriam Shor (Shortbus)
Elaine Hendrix (Parent Trap/Joan of Arcadia) & Lisa Ann Walter (Parent Trap/Comedienne)
Arden Kaywin (Songwriter/Performer) & Jennifer Leigh Warren (Broadway)
Amy Pietz (Caroline in the City) & Lea Thompson (Back to the Future-kids' favorite)
Teri Polo (Meet the Fockers) & Elaine Hendrix (Parent Trap/Joan of Arcadia)
Samantha Shelton (Shopgirl) & Miriam Shor (Shortbus)
Marcia Strassman (Mrs. Kotter- memories!) & Valarie Pettiford (Broadway)
Maggie Wheeler (Friend's Janice) & Kathleen Wilhoite (ER's Chloe)
Mary Ann Mobley (Miss America) & Sara Niemietz (Akeelah and the Bee)

Wish I had pictures to show you (they will be posted on the WHAT A PAIR website soon)... but, alas, I don't... Anyway, it was great to watch it all come together, I watched some of the rehearsals the day before and thought maybe then it wouldn't be a surprise to watch, but with costumes, hair and makeup, and the thrill of being in front of an audience... The show was FUN... Can't wait for next year!

After the performance... the Celebrity/VIP party was filled with sweet treats including Parisian Macarons! Alas... I had one... ooh they're lovely... I will be planning a party and ordering a variety... I'm thinking Parisian Macarons, Cosmos and Sex and the City the movie DVD... anyone know when it will be released? Or... forget the party and hop on a plane for Paris?

And last but not least... Silent Auction WINNER of 2 Front Row seats at the Greek Theatre to see Robert Plant (Led Zepplin) & Alison Krauss ...

From its embryonic, conceptual stages – well before any music materialized – the mere idea of Raising Sand held infinite fascination for both its creators and those around them. As word spread of an impending musical collaboration between Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, imaginations ran wild. Two artists, each at the pinnacle of their respective pantheons, Robert and Alison have seemingly little in common. But just below the surface, an elemental understanding flowed between them, waiting to be tapped.

It sounds like a fabulous evening - funds raised for a great cause, fantastic women in the limelight, french goodies and winning a silent auction my boyfriend's best buddy just saw them at Mohegan Sun and said they were fantastic!)

Can't wait til they post the pix on their site.

Don't forget the Italian espresso maker for the party to wash those macarons down. Sounds like such a fun night.
