Met Gala…Where was the GARDEN theme?

May… May flowers… May release of my Garden of Lust book… and the Met Gala (that was fictional attended by two of my fictional couples)… I have to say that the Met Gala fashions were a bit disappointing… it had a GREAT garden backdrop for AMAZING garden and nature fashions… not what was presented enough… I have a few in this post that I loved though they were NOT exactly what you would see in a garden… not enough vibrant goodness…

This video is how I feel the Met Gala should have been or why I feel so much disappointment…

And here are my picks for the event and most had garden elements BUT nothing really vibrant and fun and exciting… my favorite dress was BEIGE… I have nothing growing beige in my garden…

I expected to see more dresses like this…

But they were subdue like these…

My Magnolia Bellesol character of Garden of Lust would have fit in with her green dress…

I adore a harlequin pattern… fashion… painted umbrella… tiled foyer… sides of a swimming pool… soon I will have them painted around my new fireplace…

I REALLY want that pool in my backyard!!!

 

Ooh la la Little Black Dress Fashion Studio

I’m reading a book that is one little black dress worn by nine different people (not the same dress but the same design)… anyway, the book mentioned a movie Sabrina 1954—that I LOVE LOVE LOVE—and who doesn’t love icon Audrey Hepburn… sooooo, inspiration kicked in and welllll… I had to create a Paris studio for the “little black dress” and though it was originally designed by the FABULOUS California Girl costume designer Edith Head… Audrey Hepburn went to Paris to meet with Givenchy about a collaboration for the Sabrina film… I don’t know all of the details but maybe Edith would love a Paris fashion studio like ME…

I’m using this, also, for my 20 minutes for 20 days art challenge too… so this is how far I got in 20 minutes…

Andddddd of course I have to share the inspiration behind my composition…
