Beauuuuuuutiful Bahamas...

I hope everyone was ok with that small PINK plane trip... "Here we are at a place called Fernandez Bay Village here on Cat Island which is extremely isolated and there isn't much to do but sit in the sun and relax. The resort has a telephone, but the desk phone is the only one in the compound. There are no televisions and American mobile phones don't work here.Cat Island is 40 miles long and two miles wide and it's home to only 1,000 people."

Let's hop in our jeep with our FAB tour guide Paul of Kitchen and Residential Design... Drive safely and slow so we can take in all the beauty! Paul says "Cat Island, The Bahamas is one of my favorite places on earth." Be prepared look at this view ALL WEEKEND LONG... I know it's tough... but someone has to do it... why not let it be us! Paul says, "The waters of the Bahamas defy description and the pace of life is something that has to be experienced to be believed." I hope you have your beach entire... Here is some of the beautiful vegetation... Seagrape and Stick Wall...
Poinciana...
Mangrove...
Lone Pine...
Look at this scenery... GORGEOUS... Limestone Cliffs...
Inhabitants of the island the "Leezard"...
Don't be alarm if one of these beautiful hermit crabs should crawl upon your towel... they are harmless...Enjoy the hammocks... this guy appears to be loving life... who can blame him... let's find a lovely spot of our own to lounge too...
"Fernandez Bay consists of a string of thatched roofed, stone cottages that sit along a secluded beach. There's a club house in the center of the compound where everybody eats meals together. There's a bar and a gift shop attached to the club house and each of them works on the honor system, no lie." Here is the Club House...
Casual dining attire...Not sure about these heels in the sand... hmmmm... either bag would be fine...aaaaah... RELIEF... flat sandals were packed too..."Every bedroom in every villa faces the sea and to slip into crisp sheets at the end of a long day is heaven. Falling asleep to the sound of the gentle lapping of the waves is sublime." Here is a painting of the stone cottage where we will be staying...
Now that we are settled in... I'm going to wiggle my toes in that gorgeous water...Don't forget to check in with Beverly and her PINK SATURDAY participants today too... you wouldn't want to miss out on all the FAB PINK posts of the day!

THANK YOU SO MUCH to Paul and all his "quoted words" of enchantment! You don't have to ask moi twice to hang out on Cat Island... LOVING it!
