and all those dresses were accompanied by the most decadent shoes :)
i surely can understand your inability to name a fav pair ..lol
I loved Cameron Diaz's dress. She's not usually one of my favorites - but I thought this one was so lovely and timeless. I also thought Queen Latifah looked stunning. And of course I was just as enamored with Sandra Bullock. She looked perfect.
Oh I loved ALL of them... everyone really looked glam this year, I was so impressed, but perhaps because of the bling, Sandra Bullock really stays in my mind.I have to go watch the end though!
Yes, having been there just the one time was extremely memorable, and I have many dear friends who lived through the old after parties with Swifty Lazar at the helm...those are the WOW stories!
Love your gown painting, thanks for stopping by!

You did a fab job on the paintings of the best dressed women at the award's -- a very good rendition.
I loved Sandra Bullock's look, Meryl Streep looked classic and I though Queen Latifah looked stunning too,
and thank you for visiting my blog and the nice comment,
Joanny
Queen Lativa and Sandra Bullock were my favorite!
Hello Fifi,
I agree with Kate that Sandra B looked beautiful. She was understated, perfectly groomed and very elegant and years to come when that photograph of her keeps popping up she will be very happy that she looked timeless. xv
Oh Fifi you did such a great job in your painting! I recognised all of the dresses/actresses in question!. I loved the dress belonging to the sweet little thing from 'Up In The Air.. the pinky number in the bottom left corner of your collage. A-M xx
Beautiful dresses, my favorites were Cameron Diaz & Rachel McAdams :)
Thanks for your sweet visit Fifi! And I want to tell you how much I love my Coco book from last month as well!
SJP's stunning Chanel Couture dress! love the color combo...and noooo, it does not look like a potato sack! !! Meryl Streep is my second fave....
I love the light pink one...that is my sort of style..soft and gentle... xxx
You are like me! I'm allllll about the dresses and I shy away from movie theaters too ;)
Oh, Fifi don't get me started. I have never in my life seen such dreadful dresses as we saw this year on the Oscars. The S&M hobble shoes with evening gowns? Hollywood stylists have really lost it. Also, flesh color dresses? They look great on black women but tragic on everyone who wore them.
Most of the women in those get ups looked like they had been upholstered. All they needed were powdered wigs --so 18th Century!
My very favorite and the only one who looked vaguely modern was Maggie Gyllenhall. SJP's dress was a terrible color but at least she didn't look like she'd stolen something from Barbie's closet like the res of them did.
The style editors at the various websites are as worthless as the stylists. What a mess.
This was a tragic year. I don't know what any of them were thinking. The S&M shoes with evening gowns are atrocious. Most of them looked like they had raided Barbie's closet. One was even wearing a tiara.
They are so hopelessly out of touch and what passes for fashion at this event is hilarious.
Only Maggie Gyllenhall looked modern -- the color, pattern and simplicity were a standout.
The rest of them looked like they had been upholstered. Also, what's the deal with the horrible flesh-color gowns? Did all the stylists get together and decide they'd try to make everyone look like they had anemia? Only black women wear that color well -- why Latifa looked good. JLo looked like a refugee from the top of a wedding cake.
And can't the hair stylists do better than those same old bird's nest hairdos? So ugly.
Thanks for stopping by to see my green kitchen Fifi. I'll do a gown-by-gown commentary if you like, Fifi but it would be tangy! LOL. xoxox -- Jane F.
I just loved Sandra Bullock's dress. I just wish she would do more with her hair. It's just too flat. LOL
Sandra and Camerons were my favorite dresses.
I thought most of the gowns were glamorous, stop over and see my pillow I made, its my first, and at this age it's hard to find a "first". thanks for stopping by.
I loved Diane Kruger's dress. I know most people did not, but I thought it was very different, very Chanel, and very fabulous.
Without a doubt, I thought Sandra looked stunning... and Cameron looked better then she's ever looked on the red carpet. But my hands down favourite of the evening was the understated elegance of Kate Winslet's gown. Simple but glamourous. LUVed it!!
Thanks for dropping by DesignTies yesterday... I love flipping shows too, particularly when renovation, design and decor are intertwined in the program!!

Tough to choose, but I loved Sandy Bullock's and Demi's too, but not her shoes !
I loved Diane Krugers ~ the feminine and fabulous couture Chanel gown, was elegant.
Hugs
Carolyn
My favorite was Sandra Bullock, followed closely by Sarah Jessica Parker. Queen Latifah looked gorgeous!
i didn't see that one and it is gorgeous! i loved all the ruffles and soft pleats.
Sandra B was my fav. Charlize T. looked like someone was behind her reaching around and grabbing her breast! Sarah J Parker's dress looked like an ugly drapery and looked very uncomfortable.
loved diane's and zoe's gowns from last night. also carey's prada dress was soo cool, i didnt even noticed that it was kitchen utensils
I loved Demi Moore's dress!
