Looking for the right objects for my mantel project that I have been sharing with you... LOVE these BLUE vases... however the blue would NOT work in my room... but this LOOK might...
other vase ideas... BTW... all of these accessories are via Home Accents Today magazine...

hmmm.. maybe this is I lived by the ocean...
in the meanwhile.... let moi bring you up to date on the mantel project... last time we were at this point...
Fifi decided on "TILE"... sooooo... she... moi... sketched it out...
then started painting with black...
then white...
then up went the mirror which I had... once goldish-silver... now sprayed black gloss... and of course a fire to complete the look EXCEPT for accessories on the mantel...
Sooooo while I think about what to put up... oooooh and it must be beak proof since I have two cats that LOVE to jump up on the mantel... ooooh le sigh! Please remember to go visit other Blue Monday and Metamorphosis Monday postings... and I will see you tomorrow... let's have a FAB week!

Your fireplace is looking great! The black & white harlequin "tiles" are really fun and unusual for a fireplace.
For an unbreakable mantel display, what about using some urns that look like stone but are made from foam?

Painting is fab! I have the hardest time with mantels...not my designing expertise at all. Since you have kitties you may want to opt for clean lines!
