Flowers for Paris Garden...

Such FABuLOUS all over Paris (photos via Google flowers in Paris)... PERFECT for a courtyard in Paris...
look Petunia... I "FOUND" some flowers laying around the streets of Paris...
I planted a garden for YOU...

oui oui oui... I did "FIND" that cute little red car sitting on the sidewalk... I filled it with flowers and drove it right over and began planting...
I'll toss you up some flowers... good catch Petunia...
Hmmm... not sure what that look is on your face... could it be that it's the "wee" hours of the morning... or that we may have to leave in a hurry... WINK!  Ooooh so FUN to illustrate Fifi & Petunia adventures for Painting a Day 18 & 19... part of the Challenge by Laura Trevey ... ooooh and Tomorrow might explain WHAT Fifi was doing when she got the idea to "FIND" flowers!
For now... going see other OUTDOOR posts via A Southern Dreamer ... ENJOY!

Dearest Fifi:

Thank goodness our busy schedules afforded us time to recover from all that wilderness and nature! Of course, France is the best place for one to recover from just about anything. Their champagne is positively an elixir sent down from the heavens to heal all that ails us.

And Fifi, that is exactly what I was trying to do, heal all that was not quite right in my world, when I was awaken by a very loud bird singing quite a lovely tune at the very crack of sunrise right outside my balcony doors! You know how I cranky I can be when I am brought out of a lovely dream that I am not quite finished dreaming. Thank goodness the resident support staff was kind enough to replenish a bit of that native nectar so that I could have a sip or three of something before I had to throw a shoe at that naughty bird. As you can imagine, it was quite difficult to decide which shoe to throw.

As I grew closer to the doorway and peered out onto the balcony a wild storm of flowers filled the air! I thought that crazy bird must be having quite a fit down there and maybe throwing something at it was not the best of my ideas, although I didn't have a second idea to fall back on. Just as I looked over the railing, raised that shoe over my head and took aim, the singing came closer and I began to recognize that crazy bird! I knew that tune. I've heard it hundreds of times before. It's that sweet tune you whistle and hum when you're happy, Fifi! I had to giggle as I looked down at you dancing among all the flowers you'd tossed into the air! And that hat on your head! I do believe we will do a bit of shopping for more fashionable head covers before we leave for Provence.

I do hope you have secured a car for our travels that does not require a good watering under the hood several times a week. however I imagine the flowers are a lovely built in air freshener.

Sincerely,
Petunia who loves to see Fifi so happy but would prefer she save her flower dances for closer to noon.

Oh Fifi. The first image has to be my absolute most favorite picture of yours (and keep in mind I love them all!)
Full of color and happiness. Do you mind if I blog about it? So much joy in one painting!

I believe she did call you a crazy bird....she is not responsible for the things that come out of her mouth at that hour...I'm sure she will make it up to you this weekend!
Have a lovely adventure...I shall not be able to join you as I will be on an adventure of my own with my handsome adoring Prince!

Your drawing reminds me of flower photos my sister took in Les Halles and that cute little red car is a mini-Morris -- I had a friend who had one and would pull right up on the sidewalk of a Paris street to park it! Those are the cars from the Italian Job film, of course!

Laura gave you a super challenge. Off to go visit her. Waving! Jane
