Let me begin by saying.. I do not like shopping malls... when I was in Paris... I never ventured in one... I knew nothing of this place... to moi... just another shopping mall (all images via Google image search)...
buttttttttttttttt... LOOK inside this place... c'est GORGEOUS...
AMAZING architecture and ornamentation... the ceiling... ooh la la!!!
anddddd at night... all lit up... it looks MAGICAL...
Perhaps next time I am in Paris... I may pop in to see this in person... it must be even better!!! Have you already been inside?
Sorry... no painting today... I seem to be running out of time this Springbreak week... I will try to have something for tomorrow for "H" and "I"... off to see what I might be inspired to paint... au revoir... and be sure to visit other A to Z Challenges!

Oh my...Wonderful place! A must-see...xo
What exraordinary photo's, I've never been to Paris but reading and looking at your blogs have given me the longing to go.
Excellent blog.
Enjoy yourself.
Yvonne.
Malls are generally so lacking in personality but that place is incredible!
Coming from an old country girl, that is like no place I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Fifi!
I am just back from my 3 weeks in France and had a ball. We spent the first week in Paris. And yes, I did go into Galeries Lafayette. The travel book (Rick Steves Paris) recommended it! We didn't shop there - I hate malls too, but went just to view the beautiful Architecture. It is very close to the old Opera House....

Penny
Wow, that's an amazing place!!
I do remember going in this store and purchasing my Lancel wallet. Just gorgeous!
What a lovely place. You wouldnt know it would be so gorgeous inside from the outside appearence.
I have infact been inside on several occassions and for a large department store it is "magic"...it is certainly a place you must see, if only once!!!
Regards, Linda
This is one of the most beautiful shopping malls I've ever seen!! The ceiling is fantastic, and it looks so pretty all lit up at night.

The pictures make it so inviting! Have never been to Paris, but your pix "draws" you there! Made me think of my daughter's trip to Paris! So romantic, so French.
Pink Hugs,
