Open the Shutters... let's travel...

Yesterday we determined we liked blue... teal... turquoise in a room... I say we travel around and look at blue shutters in France... maybe we will see some BEAUTIFUL flowers as we fling open a few shutters too...look... Candace Rose captured this gorgeous flower on film (visit her to see more!)... love the plants in the window and on the balconies...oooh sooo quaint...behind these shutters... inside these French countryside maisons or Paris appartements... my French Sofas would gladly hang... The South of France or the City of Lights? Orrrrrr maybe YOUR home... (paintings are available)
Thinking about TULIPS... come along outside tomorrow!

Photos via Google Image Search for French blue shutters!

A beautiful post, Turquoise is my favourite colour and to look at it through the light in the south of France is perfect. Thank you for a great start to a grey cloudy day here in Ireland. Hugs, Margie.

I love the Provencal shutters and I dream of someday having my own house with there with these blue shuttes, especially if it has got a pool like that one!

Oh, French shutters. These were beautiful photos. Reminds me of my time going to school and staying in a nunnery for my dorm stay. Each large window had shutters. Love them!

Bonjour Fifi,
Beautiful blue shutters? Love that second image - whenever I see windows like that I imagine some lovely old dowager surrounded by marble and gilt having tea!

I also love shutters and to have a simple house looking out onto the pool is a delight.
I often walk by old buildings that have hooks over the windows. I used to wonder why until I learned they were used for moving things up through the window instead of having to lug them up stairs.
I can't imagine how scary it would be to lift a piano this way. The buildings would have to be extra strong as well as the hooks.:)
