La Grand Cascade

Recently, I have been reading the novel "Paris Hangover" written by my new amie Kirsten Lobe... and in the book she describes a FABULOUS restaurant La Grande Cascade, once an old hunting building from Napoléon’s times... located in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne, an area of Paris... I had to know if was real... and OUI... it is... and look MORE ironwork... gorgeous dining room...
shall we look at a menu...

and someFAB food photos via The Wandering Epicures... looks delish to moi... ready to taste some of them...

Has anyone dined in this lovely place? If not, you simply must visit the restaurant if given the chance... I know I would love to visit... but until that time... please pop over to read about the history of La Grande Cascade and enjoy more photos... you will find it very interesting I'm sure... and remember to visit other Tablescape Thursday participates via Between Naps on the Porch...

See you tomorrow... off to paint fashion and pick the winner of my giveaway last week... maybe it's YOU!!! And if it is not you... YOU may still have a chance to win ANOTHER GIVEAWAY of Fifi Flowers artwork via Bluebird Notes... Bonne chance mon amis!

Fifi, I would love to visit that restaurant. How beautiful! And you aren't going to believe this, but five years ago, I painted a large garden urn that is the color of the ones in that picture! It is in my living room right now. I nearly fell over when I saw those in that photograph! Neat! I had a jacket the color of mine, and I wanted the urn to be that color... and I made it look as if there was copper underneath that bled through. Thanks for sharing this.

Happy Tablescape Thursday, and I am going to check out your wonderful drawing...

XO,

Sheila :-)

What a gorgeous hotel. I love to go looking for something I have read about. Thanks for sharing. The food doesnt jazz me as much as the hotel tho.
