I do love how you can put a plan in motion even if it is due to alleged criminal activity and fleeing and other fabulously dangerous things! Dear Sergio was in quite a state of shock when he heard the change in our plans but as I whirled about my dressing room collecting my favorite “on the lamb” outfits and of course all the appropriate jewels that must be worn with them ( thank goodness the French don't look down on the wearing of fabulous baubles during this time of worldwide distress. Americans really should take a lesson out of their “no matter what, a girl should look like a million bucks and if she owns that million bucks, she should wear it!”play book.), I explained to him that when you are in need there is not a man alive that can keep me away! Oh, Fifi, he looked absolutely ruined but I assured him I would be good while away. Thank goodness he didn't ask me what that meant as I do owe Maurice a very big thank you for his generous transatlantic transportation!
As I was awaiting take off from New York to Los Angeles, everyone I know was ringing me and asking if any of the things they say you have done could possibly be true. I have promised Page Six I would release a statement to them once we have safely landed in France. Oh, Fifi! We will be once again on their lovely page! I do love seeing me there when I have been photographed at a lovely event but seeing my name there attached to a scandal is even better! What a fabulous turn of events this has been for me! Do not worry, Fifi. We will get your good name cleared once again!
It is such a shame that Roman, who could give us some very good tips on how to avoid handcuffs, is out of the country just when we need him! If we run out of things to do, I suppose we could plan a prison break for him. I do love Switzerland!
Sincerely,
Petunia who is so glad her month of good behavior is over so that she can throughly enjoy a bit of fun in exile!
Don't worry, Fifi. Any publicity is good publicity !! Use this time wisely to plan your statement to the press.....and, I'm sure that , while you are doing that, a few glasses of shampoo and caviar, swimming and sunbathing and mixing with the French elite, will fill the days and help you get over it.At least you've got Petunia to keep you company and it sounds as if she has many influential friends!!!!. Bon chance, dear Fifi, bon chance XXXX
What fun! Your adventures are marvelous.
Carol

Dearest Fifi:
I have just sent the following off my my dear friends at Page Six.
PRESS RELEASE: Not only have I have known Fifi Flowers for years but she is my BFF. To the best of my knowledge, Fifi has never, I repeat never, stolen a painting let alone entertained the thought of stealing anything. Well, let me rephrase that. She MAY or MAY not have stolen a picture or two to paint but to steal an old dead man's work when hers is obviously so much better? I am sure the insanity of that is clear to all. Until this unfortunate event is resolved, she and I will be doing a Polanski, that is enjoying a bit of rest and relaxation somewhere fabulous in France. It would be a terrible shame for America to lose one of its finest artists to France but be that as it may, these thoughtless accusations have brought us to this. Please feel free to send Fifi all your letters of apologizes to my representatives. They have been instructed to forward all relevant correspondence.
I do send my best and condolences to Matisse's family if anything I have said here is upsetting to them. I am sure they are still feeling his loss after all these years.
I would like to thank all those who, on a daily basis, want to know about me and my life. Your support during our time in exile will make it all the more lovely for both Fifi and I.
Sincerely,
Petunia
LOL, Fifi..
I know a good lawyer for you! Family discount..:0
I hope you remember the art work that started the caper :-). It's always such fun to visit here. I never know what I'm going to find. I hope you are having a wonderful day.
Ah ha! So it was you, Fifi! I saw that report on the news last night and I wondered what art owner would keep $60 million worth of paintings in a rental house with no alarm?
Sounds like the plot thickens..lol Take good care of those Van goghs and Rembrandts!
Lol ;-D
You're ever so worldly, Fifi! You just flit about like a butterfly.

Maybe you two need the help of 'le Chat' as in, It takes a thief, in Monte Carlo. He knows how to get in and out of tight spots. :))
PS. Cute as a button book mark. I love Carmel.
I love the Carmel cottage. So pretty!!
I love how your plans for fun and excitement just seem to unfold so sweetly and quickly.
