Fashionable Day in Milano...

VIRTUALLY Strolling by La Scala... the statue of Leonardo da Vinci...Interior shot of La Scala via Google image (all the rest of the Milano photos are take by moi from 1992 trip to Milan)...Statue is a monument to Victor Emmanuel II in Piazza del Duomo...The top of the magnifique Duomo...and the bottom of the Duomo... the interior of this cathedral is AMAZING... it is one of the most BEAUTIFUL places I have ever seen... it was HEAVENLY inside!!! I wish I had photos... le sigh! All this walking... time for a little wine and some pasta prepared right in front of us in a restaurant in the Galleria...The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (info via Wikipedia) is a covered double arcade formed of two glass-vaulted arcades at right angles intersecting in an octagon; it is prominently sited on the northern side of the Piazza del Duomo in Milan, and connects to the Piazza della Scala. Named after Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of united Italy, it was originally designed in 1861 and built by Giuseppe Mengoni between 1865 and 1877... Ooooh la la lots of shopping... and while sitting and enjoying a few yummies... someone slipped Petunia an invitation... and here we all are front row at a Milan Fashion Show(photos via Google search for Milan fashion show)...
McQueen...
Versace...
more Versace...Enrico for men... Dolce & Gabbana...
Gucci...Oooh more Gucci to cover up that suit...Ooooh I just received a text... "COME TO PARIS IMMEDIATELY... FIFI YOUR NAME HAS BEEN CLEARED... and DIOR HAS A SURPRISE FOR YOU... HERE'S a HINT"... a PHOTO...It looks like the Paris Runway!!! Oooh la la... perhaps this PINK DIOR dress is to be mine!!!
I dream of it and paint it all the time... Oooooh Petunia... I must run to Paris... it is only a hop, skip and a jump away... we simply cannot leave Europe without a little peek at the Tour da Eiffel, non?

See you all back in the states... I hear a horn honking... must run!!! Off you go to visit other FUN Friday posts via Melissa’s Beautiful Life and Julia's Hooked on Houses and be sure to visit all the PINK participants on Saturday at Beverly's How Sweet the Sound!!!

ENJOY a FASHIONABLE weekend! I hope to have a little BLUE/METAMORPHOSIS Parisian adventure for you on Monday... ooooooooooh yesssss... along with the name of the WINNER of PETUNIA and FIFI's SURPRISE PRIZE giveaway... I hope EVERYONE has been leaving Petunia comments along with your comments HERE...

Fifi, thank you a thousand times for mentioning my blog on travel and my "Art, Architecture & Interiors" in Milan.
Looking at your images I felt like being there in a November raining day, I felt the smell of the air, I heard the traffic flowing over wet cobble stones, the chats of people strolling under the arcade in the Galleria. A Proustian moment.
Grazie cara Fifi!!!
