A Day in Paris... Bon Voyage Party...

Ooooh how I didn't want to get up this morning... knowing tomorrow I will be on my way home... leaving FABULOUS Paris behind... le sigh...But alas... I got myself... had a little breakfast...Then headed out on to the lovely streets of Paris one last day... shopping for tonights big farewell party... First some wine... I already purchased the Veuve Clicquot last week-end while in the Champagne region ... Some lovely crusty bread... yummmm...
Cheese... ooooh smell those aromas...Look a little sample...Aahhhh... la Pâtisserie that Claudia of Paris Apartment suggested... to pick up some treats...
Gathering flowers from one of the many flowers stalls...
I think I'm ready for a dress for the party now... ooh la la... let's pop in here... Paris Atelier insisted I wear a Dior frock...Wellllll... it was no problem finding a dress... isn't this gorgeous... but they wouldn't let me leave... nooooo... I was not trying to steal this dress (painting available)... they gave me a glass of champagne...and made me watch a fashion show... just in case I wasn't sure about my dress... hmmmm... Petunia is that you up on the runway...The things we do in the name of beauty... oooh... I bought a pair of these for everyone... hope you like them!
Time to rush back and get ready in my dressing room... Set the table...
with these...

Voilà... I give you dining with a SPECTACULAR view...
I hope you have all ENJOY my month in VIRTUAL APRIL in PARIS... Here's one last look...

Looks like you visited lots of great places on your last day in Paris :-)

It's always sad when a fab trip comes to an end. But think about how nice it'll be to sleep in your own bed and be surrounded by your own stuff :-)

Travel safe!!

You made me want to hop on a plane with that post. The first time I went to Paris I was so busy missing my boyfriend (now husband) that I didn't really enjoy it the way I should. MUST GO BACK SOON!

Dearest Fifi:

Oh my! Has our time in Paris really come to an end already? What fun we have had and you have been the most perfect hostess ever! We must think up another lovely adventure to some place far off and fabulous. I'm sure within the month I will be ready to kick cats out of sheer restlessness so, we must make a plan...and soon!

It is so lovely of you to think you saw me on the runaway! I know I could certainly do that job flawlessly but I do rather enjoy my seat in the front row to that of struttung down the catwalk. To be sure, many have mistaken me for being a super model. It is a very lovely compliment.

I will be retuning stateside on my dear friend Sergio's Lear so do let me know right away if you would like to return together. It would be grand fun to discuss each and every event of the last month in detail over a sip or two of bubbly while we fly across the pond! Phone me quickly, Fifi! We will be taking off at the unforgiveable hour of 11am!

Sincerely

Petunia who thinks Fifi looks divine in her new dress!

Hello Fifi dear!

I'm so sorry your April in Paris tour has come to an end...can you do June in Paris?! You have treated us so generously to such FABulous visual feasts...you do that so well!
Thank you...merci!

Oooooh you ALL know that Fifi will RETURN to PARIS!!! And I'm sure there will be Paris paintings continuing here and there... part of Fifi's heart is in PARIS!!!

Petunia...
Thank you soooo much for the offer to fly on Sergio's lear jet... however... I was given a FIRST CLASS plane ticket by one of my readers... I have no idea who it was... but just let me say MERCI BEAUCOUP!!!

Kathleen...
Paris in June... hmmmm... I've NEVER been to Paris in June... I've ONLY BEEN THERE IN REAL LIFE in the end of March/beginning of April... perhaps we will pop over for a weekend... one NEVER knows with Fifi!!!

Oooooh I don't know how many times I have played Doris singing I Love Paris today... or how many times I have found myself singing it... le sigh!

I just found your blog and love it. I am heading to Paris in September and reading your blog is great inspiration until then.

My favorite painting is Berry Cushions with a View. I can certainly imagine sitting on that balcony, under the umbrella, drinking a glass of wine and enjoying the view of the eiffel tower.

I adore your site and am so jealous that you got to be in Paris. I've been one time, and I took my students. What might have been a romantic, lovely time was instead filled with "Why does it smell bad?" and "Why can't we eat at Mac Donalds!?".
(sigh)
I must return one day.

I would love to enter the contest. My favorite print is the lingerie picnic! I LOVE it. I also adore all of the flower note cards.

Thanks for the contest!
