Oh, I do love being back in the City of Lights and lovers! And so many of mine live here. I have to be so careful where I go for fear I might run into one of my favorites and they might be very hurt that I am not with them. They all love having me on their arm.

I do love that pink couch. I love it so much I had to have one made for my home so that I can relive a certain lovely afternoon any time I want. Oh, Fifi, what a difference one pink couch can make in a girl's life...eating lovely French pastries, sipping on bubbly and finding my inner...kitten, if you will! I had no idea I could purr like that! *blush*

Thank you so much for allowing me to travel back several years to my youthful school girl days. What a lovely trip you have provided me. Did you run your hands under the cushions to see if my diamond earring might still be there? Don't you do that every where you go to see what you might find that someone else has left behind? If not, it's a good practice to start!

Sincerely,

Petunia who also lovingly remembers that little pink cafe and knows that the sweetest things they serve up are not necessarily in the display case!

Oh Petunia... I did find a pair of diamond earrings... but I thought they were mind... so... wellll.. I'm wearing them... and I don;t think I want to give them back... can't you find a "friend" to buy you another pair?

Petunia said...

Dearest Fifi:

I think it is just divine that my fabulous diamonds are now adorning you! I couldn't be happier! My biggest fear was that some one not worthy of their brilliance would wind up with them and that would not do.

Sincerely,
Petunia who is just so happy that Fifi now has something that was hers!

Fifi Flowers said...

FABULOUS... I will tell everyone that I have diamonds from... hmmmm... Petunia... or shall I say from my sofa so no one knows asks from who you received them... of course I wouldn't dare snoop or inquire from which prince... oops did I say that aloud...

Petunia said...

Dearest Fifi:

Of course you know I never kiss and tell but what I can tell you is this: He likes things shaken and not stirred and the Queen is his boss! Other than that, I know nothing!

In answer to your concerns as to who gave them to you I find that a wink and a smile as an answer does quite well in every situation. A girl should have a bit of mystery surrounding her! It makes one so much more interesting. Don't you think so too, Fifi? And if they really press for an answer just say "Your husband!" and walk away quickly! It works like a charm every time and they immediately stop their incessant questions!

Sincerely,
Petunia who loves a good shocking answer and the look on the face of the one receiving it!

DEAR FIFI,
I WAS SETTING IN THE PINK CAFE WHEN TWO GENTLEMEN WALKED IN. THEY WERE IN A RATHER INTENSE CONVERSATION. IT SEEMS THAT PIERRE WAS DISTRAUGHT AS HIS WIFE HAD AN AUDIT DONE AND IT SEEMS SHE HAS SOME VALUABLE JEWELRY PIECES MISSING....NOW MY FRENCH IS NOT TOO WELL BUT THE WAITRESS WITH A BLACK BEEHIVE HAIRDO AND BRIGHT RED LIPSTICK WAS FILLING IN THE MISSING PIECES. I HAD A HARD TIME CONCENTRATING AS SHE KEPT SMACKING AND POPPING HER GUM...
SHE SAID HE SAID HE GAVE A FABULOUS PAIR OF DIAMOND EAR RINGS...(WELL I DON'T WANT TO START ANY RUMORS)...BUT TO A KITTEN NAMED
PETUNIA.....NOW I ASK...WHAT USE WOULD A KITTEN HAVE FOR FABULOUS DIAMOND EAR RINGS...........
MORE LATER FIFI....I'VE GOT TO FIND THAT KITTEN.

Fifi dear, I DO believe you have unmatched favor with the pink fairies...never before have I seen them produce such magic...you should be honored!
It's as thought they've been spying on you day and night! Everything is as perfect as if you had done it yourself...incredible!

You can bet the next time I'm visiting Petunia I'll be sliding my fingers down behind her sofa cushions...maybe even the chairs, too! To be soooo careless with such precious jewels...really! I'm surprised she has any left at all! But then again....well, you know! I don't want to publicize anything that might embarass anyone!

I hope you've got more of that pink bubbly left...I'm feeling a bit parched!

Tah, Tah...til later!

Pink is my favorite color (of course!)...and you have so much "pinK" and Paris...now, I am green with envy...but green and pink do complement each other...so perhaps I shall stay this way for a while.

Miss Fifi,
What a delightful Pink Saturday, I am still recovering today from all my favorite champagne and a macaroon or two too many! The pink blossoms framing the Eiffel tower are so lovely that I had to spread my blanket out under the trees and take a wee nap.
Blessings...
