I had planned on staying in my VIRTUAL Paris apartment (you can catch up on all that has been going on at my VIRTUAL Paris apartment HERE ... you may want to read the comments as well... they tell a lot more!!!)... however when the taxi pulled up in front... I could see there was a large gathering... Note to Fifi... you must not tell everyone where the hidden key is... hmmm... change the locks... soooooo I'm just soooo jet lagged... I'm opting for this quiet neighborhood...

I checked into this lovely little hotel Hotel Balmoral ...Wow...look at the difference... below is my mother in front of the hotel... hmmm... I think I might like this old entrance better...
just off the Avenue des Champs-Élysées (via Wikipedia)...
near the Arc de Triomphe (via Wikipedia)...
Here is the lobby...and the all important lounge...
I stayed here years ago in this room... this was Fifi's Daily French Study chair...
and this is Fifi in her younger years at the window...
This time... here is my room... look at the yummies they brought up... Petunia must of told them to have these waiting pour moi... I called her when I arrived and gave her my new locale... I didn't want to scare her when she didn't find me in my apartment.
Oooooh I'm off to soak in the tub...
I do so hope the party over at my apartment is lovely... I do hope it was not a surprise party for moi... perhaps I should call over there... yawn... maybe after a little nap... that tub made me even more tired...
Tomorrow for Tablescape Thursday... I am turning my blog over to fellow blogger, Muffy Martini, who happens to be visiting Paris virtually as well... she is joining in on my month of FUN... you can too... still looking for guest bloggers! 8 guest bloggers are already signed up... Ooooh la la... Fifi's April in Paris is going to be très magnifique!!!
Bonjour Tres Belle... I arrived safely and I already received word there are a couple VIRTUAL Paris shops interested in your boxes!!! I'm sure I can talk them into your whole line of great items!
WARNING... Fifi is stealing photos AGAIN... be sure to visit her Painting du Jour Gallery... YOUR PHOTOS COULD BE TURNED INTO PAINTINGS THERE... are one of theses yours...

love paris.... have a great day.
Je t'aime ton blog! The pictures are great - it makes me want to start painting again. Even though art was my minor in college, I haven't done much since before kids. Love the idea of your virtual trips. I lived in Paris a couple years ago for 18 months. It is a beautifully, unique city. Beau voyage!

Dearest Fifi:
How exciting for Paris that we have arrived! I do hope you have met the day well rested and are ready for some cafe creme with a chaser of mischief! Do phone up right away! I have a few ideas...
I feel I must mentioned what happen last night at your lovely apartment. It was a truly unfortunate event, I assure you. The party was FABul...errr...a bit on the dull side. All the usual suspects attended and your champagne flowed quite nicely...well, maybe one bottle was opened. I cannot be sure of more. It is also quite possible a lovely ring left out on the dresser...well, maybe it was tucked inside under a few things...may or may not have gone missing and I may or may not have seen it adorning one well manicured finger! I shall not be naming names but do know I am on the look out for it.
Oh, Fifi, Paris awaits us. I do believe it was built all those years ago in anticaption of my arrival! I do believe that the lights of the city do shine a bit brighter when I am in residence. Haven't you noticed it, too, Fifi?
Sincerely,
Petunia who is very excited about a few feathers and a certain cerain handsome gentleman!
Why, Madame Fifi, but you are tres belle, especially with the City of Lights as your backdrop...
Are you intent on devouring some virtual Laduree aussi, I wonder...
Bon voyage, cherie! Fhina kisses both cheeks, then once again, comme les Francaises... When in France, as they say... x
