Table decor is ready... Petunia... is that your crown?

Let's sit here for dessert...
Once you finish your dessert pop over and visit all the Tablescape Thursday contributors... and see all the WONDERFUL tables they've put together... I'm sure they will have some delicious treats for you too!

Sweet Fifi,

It was one of those days when you put yourself together and when complete you smile at your reflection in the mirror...that is exactly how I felt in my white gown with the black sash. Petunia was so sweet, she said I could wear her crown that afternoon and I felt so regal! After milling with your friends I sat down in the red wicker chair to enjoy the feast presented so lovely. I too, am a lover of bread and buttah (as they say here in the south) and the avacado wrapped scallops with the tomato compote and perfectly crisp green beans was to die for. I must know the name of your caterer! The fresh berries for dessert were perfect.
You throw the most fab parties! Thank you for your gracious hospitality.

Dear Fifi!
Thank you so VERY much for finding my crown. It's absence from my head has left me with very few brilliant or, clear, for that matter, thoughts. And yes, I let Ranae wear it to make up for calling her a theif..or whatever I called her. I can barely remember as my mind was a bit fuzzy from...oh, right, this is not another confession hour. So, onward! The food, as expected, was lovely. The boys that served us were HOT! Oh, and the guests here fab, too! You might want to have another party soon so I can plan to make more time for talking to the ladies and not spending so much time cavorting with your hired help! *giggle* I know I promised to behave better at your next party but I just can't help myself when it comes to the delicious things that aren't served on plates and are named Sergio!

Very sincerely,

Petunia who behaved better at this party and thinks she should be invited to some more!

I feel underdressed; everyone is so glamorous!

Oh how lovely it all is. I feel like a princess. All that wonderful food. At first I thought this was for the Oscars this Sunday. I am drooling over that that black long gown. Sigh.
Hope you're feeling better.

darn! I thought I was going to be able to snatch that crown before Petunia got to it! Eveb Renae had a chance to wear it, just my luck!

That's a beautiful courtyard table - and the French bread looks like the real thing! Linda

Dearest Fifi:

I think it's time for you to rework your guest list. Violet cannot be trusted. She speaks of snatching my crown, has CONFESSED to stealing my slip. How can I be sure my things won't be taken by her while I'm off...socializing? This is disconcerting to say the least and who knows what else she might have taken from your other guests! So, in the interest of all that is fun and fab please think about this. Her NAME is very misleading.

Sincerely,

Petunia who is only speaking out to ensure your parties continue to be perfect. *sweet smile*

Hope you and son are feeling better. I'm hungary where is my fork?

Tres Belle:

Missing your fork? Ask Violet where it is...

Sincerely,
Petunia who is just sayin'...

Violet said...

yeah, yeah, "ask Violet where it is" you know what? It's in my purse!

Petunia said...

Dear Fifi!
I just knew it. I hope the bill for the stolen silver wear, and I know it was silver because my eye is trained to notice such niceties, is not to outrageous. Please refer back to my previous concern pertaining to Violet.I imagine if you were to ever visit her home, the fork might be found framed on the wall as a proud symbol of her ill gotten booty! She does have such a SWEET and flowery name, doesn't she?

Petunia who is quite horrified by all of this. *grin*

I have no need of a crown...jewels are not what I need to feel special. I will sit along the banquet and sip, watching whilst they scamper along - dreaming of whispy moonshot clouds and twinkling eyes.

Fifi Flowers said...

Char... thank goodness you do not need a crown... Petunia would be a bit miffed if anyone dared to touch her crown now that she finally got it back.

Petunia said...

Dear loveliest of all Fifi's:

I just want to make one thing clear. My CROWN does not make me special! I make my crown very special because I have chosen this crown out of the many to balance on my unbalanced..err..head! So, let's not get all snippy, shall we? Oh and Fifi, I was so not even remotely thinking you might be snippy.

Sincerely,
Petunia who must go polish her crown now and pack to leave on an extended stay...ummm..vacation at a very quiet and soothing, albeit exclusive retreat.

PS: my invitations will be forwarded!
