The happy wedding party

Time to celebrate and sing... "Dancing Queen"

You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life...See that girl, watch that scene, digging the Dancing Queen...Friday night and the lights are low...Looking out for the place to go...Where they play the right music, getting in the swing...You come in to look for a king...Anybody could be that guy...Night is young and the music's high...With a bit of rock music, everything is fine...You're in the mood for a dance...And when you get the chance...You are the Dancing Queen, young and sweet, only seventeen...Dancing Queen, feel the beat from the tambourine...You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life...See that girl, watch that scene, digging the Dancing Queen...You're a teaser, you turn 'em on...Leave them burning and then you're gone...Looking out for another, anyone will do...You're in the mood for a dance...And when you get the chance...You are the Dancing Queen, young and sweet, only seventeen...Dancing Queen, feel the beat from the tambourine...You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life...See that girl, watch that scene, digging the Dancing Queen

Mad for the musical and can't wait for the DVD - I can't remember how many nights I have embarrassed myself as a 'Dancing Queen'!
Who cares - long live Abba, I say.

I haven't seen the musical yet, but I dragged every friend I have to see the film - some kicking and screaming, but they were dancing and singing by the time they left. When all was said and done, I had seen the film 19 times!!!! I cannot wait for the DVD, but as it's still playing at the theatre here, I may make it an even 20!

Good Morning Fifi

You asked about the pool here in MA. We simply have to add a algae inhibitor to the water (so it's not green and icky in the spring) and there is a cover that goes across the pool to keep stuff out during the winter. Thats pretty much it. I'm sure the top of the water freezes but not very deep. And it doesn't harm anything. I just wish the winter wasn't sooooo long so we could use it more often! Have a wonderful day!

Hi Fifi,

I haven't seen the musical or the movie but plan to see it when it comes out on DVD. I absolutely love your painting! I always wished I could paint like that!

Thanks for your thoughtful words on my blog. Each day represents something new, a challenge for sure.

I saw the musical and it was pretty good. Everyone was dancing in the aisles and having a great time. Definitely helps if you like the music!

Oh dear Fifi - I will have to send myself to the 'Naughty Corner' as have to admit that I'd rather have root canal work than sit thru' an Abba musical!!!
....but I just love your painting of Meryl & the girls, its one of your best!

First of all, I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this movie! I now have a crush on the lead girl! And of course, Meryl Streep was fantastic.

I am so impressed with your painting talent!

I saw this in the theatre with my mom and sisters in law, we loved it! We were laughing, singing and after we couldn't stop talking about it. :)

Love your painting - it really captures the scene. Had a terrific time at that movie w/friends - called my husband from the car and told him to buy the CD on itunes and we ended up having an impromptu Mamma Mia pool party!
