Recently I met a new blogger... Paris Atelier... and yesterday when I went to visited her site she had a lovely post about the "Language of the Fan"... I found it very ironic that I was working on a painting. I hadn't planned on posting my painting until the series was done, but I thought it would be wonderful to link my painting with her post... so I told her, and Judith of Paris Atelier agreed... so here is the Queen with her fan...
You might remember this pose from Sofie Coppola's Marie Antoinette. I hope you enjoy this painting... there are more to come... I could paint volumes from that movie... and for some reason... I want CANDY...
Did you notice all the beautiful fans at the start of the video? ENJOY YOUR DAY!
Hi Fifi! I am so honored that you mentioned me in your post & to be linked to your art! You make my day :) Thank you. I love the painting it is very provacative. Ooh La La! I love the colors you use. I can't wait to see the whole series. Thank you again! Judith
Lovely painting - there is something a little sexy about fans. I have always loved fans since I was a little girl....used to make them out of folder paper, always trying to be so careful to get the folds as perfect as possible :)
Sumptuous fabrics, divine delicate shoes, sparkling jewels, adorable puppies, flowing champagne, heavenly pastries on the prettiest of china - I could squeal with delight!
Thank you all for stopping by! I don't know what is wrong with my internet... working to fix problem... but I can not access some of your blog sites... if I did not leave a comment on your blog, it's because I cannot! UGH! I always try to visit and comment on everyone's blogs that leaves a comment on my site. I will visit you as soon as I can!

love the movie and love your work. we don't use fans in the art of flirting nowadays uh....
That fan is just beautiful! I really liked that movie. I know the history wasn't perfectly accurate, but the imagery (and food!) was beautiful!
Thanks for visiting me today!
This movie had some of the prettiest things and what looked like the yummiest treats! Oh, What I would do to have all these things. Daisy~
I have yet to see that movie, but it's on my list of things to do! Love the newest painting, too :)

What you said about the fan reminds me of "The Secret." Have you read it? It totally relates to what you said!
Gorgeous painting as usual!
How gorgeous, girl!!!
That shot of eating cake is a CRACK UP. And it's even funnier as it's made me hungry--stress = need for sugar! :)
