Awwwww... That Girl is sleeping in...
What is that I see... Ann Marie of THAT GIRL Designs... it's her BIRTHDAY TODAY!
Should That Girl go to the museum...
Should That Girl stay home and work on a project...
Should That Girl chat with friends on the phone...
One thing for sure THAT GIRL needs a night out in her pretty pink coat... and maybe her bangs trimmed...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THAT GIRL! Pop over and say Happy Birthday to her!
Paintings are inspired by various Image Sites I visited while researching Marlo Thomas as That Girl for this special gift post to That Girl Design... and she is receiving these paintings as note cards via snail mail!

These illustrations are great!! And I love "That Girl" The show gets a little frustrating at times when Anne Marie gets in all those predicaments, but it's great to see New York (60's New York).
I just met That Girl through blogging. What a nice tribute you did for her. :-)
loved, loved this show! Marlo Thomas at her best. And your illustrations bring it all back for me. You're gonna make it after all!
Oh Fifi, these are the best! Such a surprise, and a thoughtful gift. This has really started my day off with a smile and a spring in my step! I don't think words can adequately express how touched I am by this gesture of kindness and friendship.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
And, I'm so excited about my little gift coming in the mail. Its like being a little kid on Christmas morning!
OH I loved Marlo Thomas as THAT GIRL, Have the videos of one of her early years. I knew who this was about even before I read it. You did a great job of illustrating it...I will have to go check out that girl designs now.
Aww happy bday to her - she is amazing!!

How sweet Fifi and so cute.
I don't remember much about That Girl, but do remember that she got her toe stuck in a bowling ball in an episode and had a photo shoot or something... Funny (and happy) how your cute paintings brought back that memory! Hey, my mom met Danny Thomas at a function & had her photo taken with him... had forgot about that too...hmmm ~ see what you've started?
I love it here - so cheerful ;)
Off to wish That Girl! a happy birthday and introducing myself.
Happy weekend sweets!

Bonjour Fifi! Thanks for visiting my blog! I love your work. You are so talented and just being over here made me feel happy.
These illustrations are fabulous.
I just LOVE That Girl!!!! She's so sassy and I'm jealous of her!!
Happy Birthday, Girl! :)
I loved that show!! When she threw her hat in the air it always made me smile! Your paintings are such a perfect tribute to her and the show. I love the one with her on the phone! Your talent never ceases to amaze me and make me JEALOUS!
A little clarification about That Girl... she was a single girl trying to be an actress and her boyfriend was Donald... That Girl character was played by Marlo Thomas.
The other show some of you are talking about was Mary Tyler Moore Show... she was the one with the "you're gonna to make it afterall" song and threw her hat in th air.
Love these paintings :)
And I loved the old TV show - they need to bring it back in reruns!!How nice of you to send "that girl" a birthday surprise!
Lovely!!!! Have a great weekend.
PS. Just in case you didn't came back after you post in my blog, my answer is absolutely YES, I'll be more than honored!!!!
Maria
Aww... i MISS That Girl! But i didn't know it until I saw her on your blog.
You've captured the essence of THAT GIRL perfectly Fifi! I always though Marlo T. was the epitome of chic style, although wasn't too fond of Donald - always thought she could have done better!
Millie ^_^
What a sweetheart you are! Ann is great! :)
Looks like That Girl has got plenty of options for a lovely birthday.
I just added the SURPRISE Ann Marie received to this post since she post her surprise here: http://thatgirldesigns.blogspot.com/search?q=fifi+flowers
