Flowery Weekend Wrap Up...

It was a weekend of sports, flowers and family... starting with flag football in the park... my teen's first football game of the season for his school... they won 39-0...

Although this sporting event was not in a flowery setting... he is my little FLOWER... and he received a purple belt at his karate belt ceremony (demostration here before receiving new belt... note the orange belt) ... we are so proud of our boys!
Flowers can be seen all around the golf course...

Look there's Mr. Flowers searching for his lost golf ball...
Isn't this spectacular... to be painted in the future I'm sure...
Fifi and her cute golf shoes... it's all about fashion on the course... snapping pictures waiting for hubby to make his shots... Fifi had a MARVELOUS game and her ball was already on the green!

Back home relaxing after all our sporting events... Fifi went into her studio to paint inspiration she found visiting Mary-Laure of Aurea... is her Weekend Dahlia photo not absolutely beautiful...

A little paint and a piece of archival paper... let the painting games begin...

Andddddd... here is what I ended up with...
Maybe this painting will make its way to Paris like one of my other paintings that Laura of World in a Pan (who happens to be Mary-Laure's mother) displays on her bedroom wall... I would say our weekend was lovely... nice weather... beautiful surroundings... family... doesn't get much better than that! How was your weekend?

Good morning Fifi :)

It sounds as though your weekend was perfect. We've been busy with de-"rue"-ing the house, but spending time with hubby is great no matter what ;)

Beautiful painting!

rue

Thank you so much for your comment on my blog... brought me here... I love your artwork--so vibrant and spellbinding. I will be adding you to my artsy blogroll. I especially enjoyed the Brazil post. I lived in Rio and Sao Paulo for a little under three years during my teens, and I have a special place in my heart for this warm, friendly country. Your art work and all the wonderful pictures do it justice.

Wht a lovely weekend you had, how perfect to spend the "last days" of summer outside. I worked at a friend's wine festival and it was packed with people enjoying a day they'll have to strain to remember when they are shoveling snow in February.

And how wonderful to see the painting of my photo "in place" on Laura's bedroom wall in Paris!

Sounds like a delightful weekend.

Our 18 year old granddaughter has studied TKD since she was 11. She's working on her third degree black belt. I remember all those classes and tournaments and things when she was starting out, up to present day. Special times for all of us.

The painting is fabulous, Fifi!

Loving that dahlia painting!

I should take a picture of my golf shoes, I think you'd love them. I just need to get a set of clubs so I can actually wear them!
