And even more amazing architecture...
BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL... and so clean! Loved Luzern... SHOPPING WAS FAB! Food wonderful! Our hotel room was pristine and all WHITE... sorry I don't have more pictures from Switzerland. We arrived early in the morning EXHAUSTED from being awake all night on a train... and I could not think anything but SLEEP! (And speaking of exhausted... in present day NOW... I'm just too tired to finish my Swiss painting... I will try to add one to this post around noon... kids back in school... more time to paint... but I was too busy watching tennis... playing a little painting hooky... lol... OK... here is my LATE AFTERNOON paintings of Luzern Switzerland... painted VIRTUALLY from the historical Grand Hotel National built in 1870... I did not stay here truly... but if I could return... I would love to stay in this magnificent suite... and since this is my post... I'm pretending I'm staying there... you can join me...
Looks like a lovely view outside... shall we go out on the terrace... enjoy the view... pop open that champagne and celebrate... "Cheer's to the 2008 U.S. Open tennis champion!"
I hope you enjoyed this little memory of mine and our new virtual stay... and CONGRATULATIONS ROGER! He is like Luzern... AMAZING!

Is there anywhere you haven't been?!! Thanks for sharing these pics.
I still owe you a pic of your painting! I haven't forgotten, but find myself in the weeds again and am way behind on everything. I'll e-mail you soon.
Lovely place. Thanks for the tour. I look forward to the painting. It's hard to tell you from your Mom in some of the far away pictures. :)
Unfortunately... there are MANY places I've never been... but I hope to get to when kids go off to college or SOONER... these days the only way I travel is VIRTUALLY right here!
This is a lovely post. Enjoyed it very much. It's ready for "Taxidiaris" in Greek!
Lucerne looks beautiful! And your art is lovely as well :-) Thanks for stopping by!
Oh yah thanks for the lovely tour...I miss traveling so much!
I love the virtual travel you share with us! It may be the only way I will get to see some of these places :)
Thanks
Wow, thanks, I had no idea Switzerland's cities could be so beautiful - I thought it was all banks and chocolate factories...
What a lovely place Lucerne is. Great architecture, I love old cities.
Sorry so late with paintings... and sorry I could not do more... ENJOY... Fifi
Ahhhh I came back to see if you posted your painting and walla you did. I LOVE the virtual hotel room suite. Can I stay there too?
What a view off the balcony. :O
Dear Fifi - the closest I've come to seeing any of Switzerland is spending a 9 hr. lay-over in Zurich Airport! So how wonderful to pay a virtual visit to Lucerne this morning.
My favourite pic is definitely the streetscape with the gorgeous lights - just divine!
Millie ^_^
You have fun girl... cherish every moment.
What a lovely city. Your paintings are so charming and lovely.
WHat an exquisite city! And your paintings do it justice! As always!
Hi Fifi, thanks so much for stopping by. I have long admired your beautiful paintings, I remember the doors you did for P.Grey they were stunning!
My rooms are all yours....
Maria.
Oh I just love going on journeys with you! :-) I've been to Switzerland but not Luzern. It looks fantastic, and your painting of the hotel is just perfect!
I love Luzern. I never saw the original Kapellbrücke but the replacement looked pretty good to me :-)
I always love your pictorial stories, and the photos you take are as great as your paintings. You just have a great "eye"!
Thanks
Love,
Ronaldo & Vilma (Ana's parents)
Wow, fabulous! Love it ALL! :)
