Virtual Home Tour

Welcome to Hooked on Houses Party Blog Home Tour...

Button Painting by moi... Fifi Flowers

As promised... My friends have allowed us beyond these gates... to view their home's extraordinaire interior designs inspired by the interiors of the Hearst Castle... interior design and installation of all ornamentation was done by the home owners...

Starting with my favorite shot taken from above the incredible formal living...

The golden powder room with chandelier...
Guest room fit for a royal visit... look closely at the molding on the ceiling...A charming and cozy English family room...

Shabby Castle Chic for the princess of the house...
And for the royal couple... a grand master suite...
complete with a stunning master bath...
On to a gorgeous kitchen and sitting room...
Off of the kitchen is the exquisite dining room with a magnificent molded ceiling... Of course the outside living room is beautiful as well...
Hope you enjoyed your tour... time to go...
Or is it... This house is truly unbelievable in person... my photos do not do it justice... and I did take a lot of photos... see more details HERE in this SLIDE SHOW ...

Thank you so much my friends for allowing me to show your home to the blog world!

The house is AMAZING! Every time I visit... I am overwhelmed by the work that went into this home... the moldings are outstanding.

You should see what they do to this house for Christmas... WOW!

A few years ago the owners allowed me to use their home for an ACTUAL home tour to raise funds for our childrens' school... people were in SHOCK! I will have to see if they have photos... might make for a good holiday time post!

They did this all themselves?

I have trouble picking out one throw pillow.

Wow. Just ... wow.

Wow - gorgeous home. Would definitely need a maid if I lived there. Guess I could worry about that when the situation presents itself - until then I am master of my own toilets. I would love to tell you about the guest book. Do I just push return on your email? I am not IT savvy at all.
I think it's great that you designed the button for the house tour - it was a great success, don't you think?!

Hi Fifi,

I have been to Hearst Castle and it holds a special place in my heart, since it's one of California's most prized possessions. This home is a very good interpretation. It's magnificent!

I looked on the photos in your post and also at the Flickr photos. I find the rooms very beautifully designed and executed. The rich details are decidedly luxurious but never over the top. i do see a certain restraint even in the most elaborate embellishments, such ass the ceiling panelling. All in all, it is very tasteful, with obvious attention paid to comfort and function. A fine design. Thanks for sharing this home.
