Give me a Simple Day...

Sipping lemonade... laying under a tree... watching butterflies... Or riding a bike in the country and lying in a sunflower field...
The lazy days of summer and no school are coming to an end... This time of year as my boys get ready to return to school... I remember the first day (photo above 2003) my youngest went to kindergarten and my oldest entered third grade... that meant that I would be all alone all day long... excited to have time to myself... sad when the house was so quiet after a few days... Next week... that feeling will return... and now the older they get... nearing high school and middle school... the more I realize it won't be long before they're off to college... Where does the time go?

Time certainly does fly by. One minute they are crawling and the next minute they leave for college.

It flys by quick, I remember those days well, and now my boys are grown men and my daughter is in middle school. Hold tight the memories Fifi! Your boys are very handsome! And I love both of your paintings. :)

Firstly, I love the bicycle painting. You really capture bikes in such a fun way, it makes me want to jump on mine and ride, ride, ride....

And, my son who will be 17 next week, drove off on Monday to start his junior year in high school. What occurred to me, is how when they are 5 and you prep them and then walk to them to their first classroom, it doesn't cross your mind that some day soon, they will say "check you later Mom" as they head out the door, car keys in hand to start another year of school.

Love the simple days paintings..my kind of days!
Time does go by so fast. Like the Kenny Chesney song "Don't Blink".

Time does go by too fast. Your boys look like they are a lot of fun. And your painting, wow, I am so impressed! I love the deep colors of some of your pieces.

I love coming here every day to see what new and gorgeous magic you've created with paint. But today my heart skipped a beat when I saw the red bike & sunflowers....OH MY what a joy that one is!

I just love your paintings! They are so fun! I am so not looking forward to school starting. I love having the kids with me and do get the "empty nest syndrome" when they go back to school. I won't let them know that though! Children grow up in a flash, don't they?!

I love your bike painting - it's so cheerful!
I don't know where the time goes, either - it seems to go faster these days. Your boys have sweet smiles, by the way. :)

Doesn't it go so so fast? Blink and they're gone. Your boys are beautiful, though I suspect a foot taller like my twins! Enjoy your time to create when they are back in school. I love the bicycle painting. Gorgeous!

The paintings are fantastic! They would make great posters!! Your kiddies are adorable in that picture. Time does seem to fly by so quickly. It must be great to have your talent as you must document alot of moments in your wonderful work.

Lovely paintings. Love the bike and sunflowers too. Looks great framed up above.
Yes time sure does fly. I liked what That Girl designs said. How you walk them to school one minute and the next they have car keys in hand and dont need you any more.
But I can see lots more paintings in your future with time on your hands.Look what you have gotten done with them around. Amazing.

PS...I am curious..what does CP mean in the titles of the paintings?
