An Italian Courtyard to Remember...

This painting was commissioned by fellow blogger My Life Today...While on a holiday to Italy... Angie spent many wonderful hours drinking wine and nibbling yummies in this fabulous Villa Caselline courtyard... she wanted a painting to remember these lovely hours... so she emailed me a photo... asked if I could add wine, olives, cheese, etc to a painting of her photograph...
See it on her wall amongst all her wonderous travel momentos...She loved the painting so much... she wanted to share it with her fellow travellers... so she also commissioned me to paint five bookmarks similar to her painting... one to keep and four to give as gifts... what a FABULOUS present to receive!
The front and the back of each bookmark is hand-painted... and ribbon is attached to each one once they are varnished... how FUN to be able to have a work of art that go with you anywhere!

Do you have a photo from one of your travels that you would like to have painted?
Commissions are welcome! I LOVE TO PAINT!

Actually, the bookmarks were for my fellow travellers who shared the villa with us, but what a great idea to send one to the owner! I think I'll need another one Fifi!!! Thanks again for a beautiful piece and for being so easy to work with.

You are an inspiration to me!! I love the painting, bookmarks and the idea of painting a special place!! I am learning to paint...two years of classes..but need to put more time into playing with the paints!! Thank you for stopping by and do come back.
I have a daisy wedding this week..all daisy. 40 centerpieces in jars and everything else the bride wants for the day! I ordered every kind of daisy available. Should be fun!

Hello Fifi, I come to you by way of Cris in Oregon. She recommended you in a comment on my blog today and I can see why you are such an inspiration to her. I love your paintings and interiors. The commissioned work and the bookmarks are fabulous!

I, too, love things French!

Like you, I am an interior designer and a painter...although in style, I am very unlike you! :) My education is interior design, but I spend a lot of time painting these days.

I look forward to visiting you often. Thank you for the great tour here.
