Day 33 - Kentucky Derby… Jockey Silks

A simple painting that means so much… and today’s Kentucky Derby was a mix of joy and sadness not being able to share the day… the special event with the man who introduced me to horse racing as a toddler… my daddy who is suffering with his memory… but I will always have great memories of our times together at the race track… picking horses… for me: sometimes it was the name or maybe the color of the jockey’s silks (colorful shirts)…

Day 32 - Crowns Ready… Coronation… Race for the Triple Crown

READY for tomorrow’s events…

Not sure if I will get up for the coronation… last time I got up for a Royal Event: weddings and I even painted Will and Kate kissing on the balcony… 

I will be watching the Kentucky Derby… I haven’t selected my horse yet but I will by the start and cheering it on!
