Part Deux of Fifi's Home Gallery...

Reproductions of French artists...
My study of French Fauve painter Raoul Dufy... "Interieur a la Fenetre" 1930... this is the painting I wake up to every morning as I open my eyes to greet the new day... the painting is 4' x 5' acrylic on canvas... it is like a window to my France!

My study of French Impressionist painter Berthe Morisot, one of the few well-known women painters of this period... "Villa by the Seaside" 1874 ... this painting hangs in my dining room... 18" x 24" acrylic on canvas

My version of a famous French poster by Albert Bergevin ... I changed the setting to Paris... the original painting is set at St. Michel "Avranches, Normandy" 1910... mine is titled "Champ de Mar"... this painting and the painting ( just below) hang in my kitchen.... both are 8" x 10" acrylic on canvas

Study of my study of Raoul Dufy ... my title "Le Sud de France"

My study of Auguste Renoir... "Luncheon of the Boating Party" 1881... however, you will see that I have made a major modification... I removed all the men from the scene and titled it "Luncheon des Femmes" 2001... this 16" x 18" acrylic on canvas painting hangs in my bar area.

This is my current study... another famous French poster... this will hang over my bar and will be a 36" x 48" acrylic on canvas. I will post when complete... I can't wait!

I always say... if you can't afford them... paint them! If you can't paint them... find someone who will... reproduction PAINTINGS are much better than posters or brushed canvas reproductions. Works of art are a home decor must!
